Internet Out - Channels Hours Behind

I don’t use regular cable internet, we go through a cellular connection, indirectly through AT&T. Our ISP screwed up and didn’t send us an update when needed, so we’ve lost internet as of yesterday (Monday) and they are shipping us the replacement through mail (and that’s been terrible and late a lot lately), and not even next-day. At this point, the earliest we’ll have internet back is Thursday.

Meanwhile I’m running the channels DVR on a Linux system. The system time is up to date, but the Channels time is off - well, in some places. When I go to channelsdvr.my.lan:8089 and look at the guide, it’s up to date. When I check the recordings, they seem to be recording the right shows.

But on Apple TV, when I use the beta to watch TV, my guide is about 2 1/2 hours behind real time. I think it’s actually lost time throughout the day, but I’m not sure. This shows up with issues with the guide looking like I’m watching shows from over 2 hours ago.

And, of course, considering this will be a 3-5 day internet outage, I’m also wondering what I can do to make sure my guide stays updated or if there’s some way I can force a guide update if I can tether my DVR computer to my phone.

Sounds like the time on the Apple TV is wrong?

Does the guide follow the time on Apple TV as opposed to it’s own DVR time?

If you're browsing the guide on the Apple TV then the clock on tvOS is used.

Okay, thanks. I was kind of hoping that wasn’t it, because there’s no manual way to set the clock on an Apple TV.
