Inventory clean up

Looking at my synology NAS I found some duplicate movies. Yes, i did record them to cause the issue but I went and deleted them via the web url. They are gone from channels inventory but still on the HDD. I thought first that this was part of the trash recovery so I emptied the trash. The files are still there. I honestly have no problem with manually removing the files but I don't want to cause channel to get out of sync if that is a thing. Or can I just delete/move files and they will be found?

I read someone as setting up 2 drive solution with a short term and long term storage. I liked this idea as was thinking about this also. I want to move my shows (wife's hallmarks) to my long term storage and free up the active drive. Not. sure the best way of doing this and having channels pick up the moved show or if it would confuse it looking in the old location before I moved them.

Sounds like a bug. They should have been deleted from your HDD when you emptied the trash. The only time I have seen that behavior is when the target directory is read-only to the user that runs Channels DVR (I have read-only mounts for my Imports).
Take a look at your DVR log and see if there's any errors about deleting them.

it's actually resolved now. Apparently the program lies :). it said it had removed all the shows on the web page but they were still there. now now that I went and did other things and came back, they are gone. So no bug apparently.
