Remote streaming in the ios app says “SSL Error” and can’t connect. This is a new one. I haven’t changed anything. But I am using a VPN which doesn’t affect the port forwarding in the web browser because there isn’t a problem there. I have manual port forwarding selected. Any idea how to fix this?
Does my.channelsdvr.net work? If not check your port forwarding and try turning remote access off and back on.
No it doesn’t. And un checking and rechecking port forwarding didn’t solve it either. It’s weird that the web browser remotely works but not this.
I checked and your port forwarding isn’t working. If you try to connect to your IP on port 8089 it fails.
Well it turns out I had to enable port forwarding on the VPN instead of my router. Didn’t know that! Now it works fine.
