Ip address wont connect

How come when I enter my PC IP address on phone and on my Niveda shield comes back as not found!
I'm right in front of my PC and literally copying it on my phone
Thanks

Under settings/general, do you have network discovery checked? And which apps are you trying to connect with?

try disable windows firewall

Is your phone on the same network as your computer?

I didn't realize I had to download the DVR part so it's all connected! Now I have to setup chanells but I don't subscribe to TV I stream from another source

@Dmanf555 I'm a little confused. Are you using the Channels DVR app for HDHomerun or are you referring to the actual Channels DVR server and it's apps? Also, if you are trying to setup a CDVR server and connect the app to it, here is a link for the Channels site that will give you all the information you need to understand the software.

There are many ways to connect your sources to CDVR as well as many free, community developed ones that you can add. Good luck.

I'm not using the Home run I'm using the app I downloaded on my PC! I still might get the home run but I heard the actual live TV through the download was better! If not please advise me

Welcome to the Channels Community Forum

You will get better help if everyone can understand what you're saying.

We didn't download it or look over your shoulder. What "app" are you talking about.

No idea what you're talking about. Are you sure you're on the correct forum?

We're just paying users of Channels DVR and Channels Clients trying to help other users in this Community Forum.

The app is the Chanells app I downloaded it not really a app I guess! Anyway tried entering M3u for my IPTV service and done it several times and it wouldn't take url I know it's accurate so without that I have no chanells to try and tape from! Very frustrating I don't subscribe to cable I cut the cord wish there was a support platform for this but I will cancel my subscription if it doesn't work soon! Thanks everyone

That is a Channels Client App.
You said

What app did you download to your PC, and what is your PC (Windows/Mac/Linux)?

In order to get sources to view on a Channels Client, you have to subscribe to the Channels DVR service and run their Channels DVR Server. Without a Channels DVR Server, you can only watch Live TV on a Channels Client from an HDHR Tuner.
See Channels — How Channels Works

If you installed Channels DVR Server on an Nvidia Shield, you're out of luck, as that is no longer supported.

Stop using so may exclamation points and tell us everything about your setup. Server OS, clients, how are you configuring your provider in custom channels, error messages from the log etc. You cant give us bits and pieces and expect us to understand what your problem is.

I'm tired of wasting my time on posts like these too. I'll leave it up to the developers to answer them.
My guess is the poster thinks it's just another IPTV "app" since they haven't read what it is.

At least they removed the Nvidia Shield as a supported Server

You should spend a little more time learning about how Channels DVR Server works by reading the website and the documentation, and then open another topic.

You should start with the documentation on Custom Channels:
