This is not a problem of needing more time to pause, it is a problem of the cache filling up on the Ipad regardless of whether I pause the show or not, or regardless of the playback mode. The Ipad only has 4-6G of space free at any given time, and the channels app cache takes all this storage after 2 or 3 days of just watching a show in the morning.
From this link - Channels Support - Streaming, The statement: "The server stores the entire Live TV buffer and the client will store as much of it as it can handle with the available disk space."
It would be nice either for the app to auto-delete the cache if started up from a closed state, or a way to limit the cache and have it auto-delete.
To be honest, my spouse is having a hard time remembering where the option is to clear the cache, and I just wish there was an easier way.
