Is the Synology DS713+ a suitable NAS for Channels?

I had been looking at the DS218+ as it had been mentioned on this forum several times but I also have the opportunity of acquiring the DS713+. Is the DS713+ suitable for Channels DVR and the transcoding that the DS218+ will support?

DS713+ has an Intel Atom D2700, which is not a very powerful CPU. It will be able to record, but comskip will be slow and no transcoding for remote viewing.
