Is there a way to find a setup guide?

As the subject says, is there a setup guide? I installed the server on my computer, signed up, all of my channels and guide show up when I login to my cable provider, but when I downloaded the Channels DVR app on Apple TV it says it can't find my server.

I tried manually connecting with the IP address the server is on, and it says there isn't a server on that IP address. All of the troubleshooting I found such as setting up a static IP address, uninstalling/reinstalling the app, and restarting the server do not work.

I'm not great when it comes to things like this, so is there like a beginners guide or something on here I can use?

Sounds like a firewall on your dvr PC is preventing access from your TV

Ditto! A setup guide I can print and hold in my hands would be great!

Agreed a manual is sorely missing. We're working on it.

Try disabling your firewall, or tweaking it until you are able to access http://192.168.1.20:8089 from another device like a phone or tablet
