Is this a bug?

I wanted to report this issue as it doesn’t seem to be by design. If I start playback of a recording on Apple TV from the Channels app on my iPhone/iPad, upon completion of the recording, I then start playback of a different recording also from my iPhone/iPad and then delete the prior recording, the currently playing recording stops immediately. Why would deleting a watched recording that is no longer playing affect a different recording currently playing?

Yes that sounds like a bug. We would need diagnostics submitted after it happens from the app.

Whenever it stops playing

This happened again tonight. I submitted diagnostics at 8:47 pm EST 12/8/23.

I’ve nailed this down and can reproduce it. If you have videos in multiple folders and start watching a video on an Apple TV selected from Channels on an iOS device, then start watching a video from a different folder (again selected from Channels on an iOS device) and delete the previously played video, playback will stop on the Apple TV and you will be taken back to the previously played folder…
