So what I want to do is be able to record at least 4 channels at a time like nextPVR does from my HDhomerun units (2). I have a channel guide I pay for that I use with nextPVR. Will that guide work with Channels DVR? Will Channels DVR record 4 OTA channels at one time? nextPVR lists my recorded programs and I can play them any time I want. Does Channels DVR work that way? If I pay for a month and get one month free can I cancel at the end of the one month and not be charged?
Yes you can cancel the free trial before the month is up and there will be no charge.
Thanks for the reply to one of my questions. Every little bit helps.
Welcome to the Channels DVR community!
Channels DVR has its own guide data that is provided by Gracenote. The guide is included in the Channels DVR subscription. As you may have seen, Channels DVR costs $8/month or $80/year (if you want to pay in advance for a whole year).
Yes.
Channels DVR can record as many channels at one time as there are tuners available.
Absolutely. You can watch recordings at home or remotely when you are not home too.
Channels DVR will not record the main Channels and subchannels of 1 DEVICE as NEXTPVR does.
NEXTPVR Records multiple channels from one multiplex Channels DVR does not.
I have tried both Channels DVR and NexttPVR ... prefer Channels DVR by far.
