Issue Recording Gutfeld! on FoxNews

I'm using MCEBuddy 2.x to skip commercials, it can't handle the recording correctly. I gave them a full episode from Channels DVR recording; they analyze it came back with this comment:

We investigated this some more, the issue is that original recording has corrupted timestamps which is throwing off comskip when it’s remuxed from the original MKV to TS container. It’s a bug with the ChannelsDVR recorder. For now you can skip remuxing and it should work but ideally report it to ChannelsDVR so they can fix the recording software to create a compliant video without errors.

Huh there is no "original MKV"?

The recordings are made directly from source into MPEGTS

Are they able to provide any technical details?

I think he meant Remux From TS to MKV.... just switched them in post.

The MKV is what MCEBuddy 2.x produced.

You can try the Fix Video Timestamps option

Can you expand on your comment? Explain like I'm a fifth grader .

In the web ui go to menu, library, tv shows, click on Gutfeld, click the gear drop down next to the episode you want to fix, choose fix video timestamp. I doubt this will help though.

I could be wrong and someone please correct me if I’m wrong but doesn’t mcebuddy just use the donator version of comskip the same as channels dvr. It seems if the commercial detection fails in channels it will do the same in mcebuddy.

I too have seen timestamps off ... that I had to remux without the option to copy timestamps and that fixes it. Then Comskip runs much better and is more accurate.

I have run into problems especially with TVE.... but this is sort of expected as the internet can glitch.
