Ok makes sense, thanks. I'll keep looking at the settings in IPTV editor
This is my current EPG settings in IPTVEditor - is there anything glaringly obvious I need to change?
I can't see anything that will give me a unique episode identifier?
Usually it's the "Season/Episode" information (the episode-num element in the actual XMLTV). The situation looks to be that there's nothing you can do to fix it because wherever the guide data is coming from, it is not providing that data.
In short, the only real way to fix the situation is to find a different provider of guide data.
Here's the EPG data, there's definetly an epsiode number. Maybe IPTVEditor isn't pulling it through?
I think the problem would also be solved if we could have more than one IPTV source in Channels
Of course you can have multiple Custom Channels. Honestly, I don't think that is going to help you. You're stuck with GIGO ... garbage in, garbage out. Until you find a better guide provider, you're stuffed.
Actually, I thought of having two different playlists after I posted my previous reply - great minds and all that.
For the main channels I watch most I can utilise Matt Huisman NZ IPTV EPG which, as per screenshot above, contains a unique identifier for episodes. Then I don't have to use IPTVEditor's EPG link which seems to be missing the ID.
Wish me luck...
Using Matt Huisman NZ IPTV EPG solved the problem. Seems like the issue is with IPTVEditor's EPG link which is missing the ID.
