Issues with commercials on TVE

When watching DIY and a couple other channels, I'm getting a particular commercial from out local Channel 10 for their late night news. Every time the commercial airs, my TVE feed for DIY drops and I get a channel not found error. After a few minutes, I can tune it in, but it's an annoying issue because the commercial airs every commercial break.

This is in the Sacramento area on KXTV channel 10. I'm running the latest Beta on my Windows 10 DVR. Happens using both a FireTV4k and Shield TV.

Anyone else seeing this issue or have any suggestions for fixing it?

I will submit diagnostics.

What does the DVR log show? Any errors there?

Recorded Building Off the Grid - Mud Men this afternoon from 3-4pm on 6108-DIY and although there were no disconnections or errors in the log, there were a lot of these in the recording.

Wonder if it has something to do with Chrome on Win-10 being used.
I'm using linux (Synology) and don't see that issue.
Perhaps local ad insertion uses different servers depending on how well Google or Microsoft knows you based on cookies and other tracking and is trying to be more targeted than just based on IP address?

I just switched over to Windows 10 from a Synology DS718+. I didn't want to put out the money for the expansion case, because of Christmas. I guess I can go back to my Synology for a test. I'll just need to get rid of some recordings first.

I use my new Synology (1019+) for my Xfinity recordings from an HDHR Prime
and use my old Synology (1513+) for TVE recordings and testing.

You can run two instances of Channels DVR, no need to remove it from your WIN-10 system to run another instance on the Synology DS718+.

Only problem might be using the clients and selecting which DVR to connect to.

That's what I meant. I am using both now. I had to select the Synology on one of my clients.

What other TVE channels have you seen this issue on?
Only Discovery Communications networks?

I only use/record TVE-DIY normally since my Xfinity feed for it is in SD.

I just had the issue again watching on both the Synology and win-10 computer. Locked up both FireTV and Shield TV. I can't remember which other channels/networks I had it happen on, I will try to retrace my steps...

If you're recording it you get better log entries for troubleshooting.
For TVE recordings I always add a minute end padding as they always seem to start/end a minute late.

Try not to watch it while it's recording so the log is just of the recording, may help.

I have been trying to watch DIY chann today, the sever updated to 11.19.2312 yesterday.
DIY via TVE is freezing up alot.
Pausing it for a few min to get it to buffer the channel seems to help.

Anything in the Channels DVR log?
That's the only channel I use TVE for and haven't had those issues, but I don't watch Live, just record 'em.
What client are you using to watch it from?

How do u see the DVR logs? I do not see a button to view logs.

Doesn't happen for me live or recording.
