JavaScript Error

I did notice another similar thread but my error is slightly different and I have no idea how to use curl in a terminal to update to the pre-release version mentioned in the other thread. What I mean is do you mean a terminal on the Shield itself? If not, how would I use a terminal on the DVR server remotely?

Update: I did attempt to run

curl -XPUT http://x.x.x.x:8089/updater/check/prerelease1

on the Shield itself using termux but it tells me I do need to install curl first. I just am curious if I should proceed in that fashion or if I should not be using termux on the shield itself?

Was instructed to post the error here. This is the first time I have gotten it. It seemed to happen after upgrading my shield TV to the new Shield Experience 7.0.

DVR Hardware: Nvidia Shield TV 16GB - Model: P2897
Router/Modem Hardware: Apple AirPort Time Capsule
Android Version: 8.0.0
Android Security Patch: May 5, 2018
Nvidia Experience Version: 7
Shield Android TV SW Version: 7.0.2

This error persists in a red box at the top of the webpage on my DVR server.
Tabs:

- Settings: Stuck on loading loop.

  • On Now: Seems to load okay.
  • Guide: Seems to load okay.
  • Search: Seems to load okay. (Search function works.)
  • DVR: Seems to load okay. (Both Schedule and Passes.)
  • Recordings: Seems to load okay. (Playback of recordings untested.)

You can use a Terminal on any mac or PC. Replace the x.x.x.x with the IP of your SHIELD.

Now that Oreo is out we need to officially release the fix out of pre-release, so I’ll do that today. So you don’t need to do anything, your DVR will auto-update with the fix.

Thanks for the update. The javascript error is gone. However, a new problem has popped up. On both the web client and Android TV app, channel network logos no longer show up, and the web player for live tv seems to not work.

On ChromeOS and Chrome for Windows: The stream is slow. Often freezes
On Chrome For Android: I get an error saying “The media playback was aborted due to a corruption problem or because the media used features your browser did not support”.

The absence of network icons on both the online guide and Android TV guide seems to be new. I have checked my HDHomeRun diagnostics and everything seems a-ok on that end.

I am just confused because up until now, Channels DVR has been 99% stable for me.

Try clicking the circle refresh icon under your HDHomeRun, in the Tuner section on the DVR’s web UI.

Also look at the Log tab and see if there were any recent error messages shown in there.
