Keep Getting the Welcome Message on AppleTV?

I’m new to DVR and still testing. Every once in a while, when I navigate to: DVR, I get the message below even though I’ve already set everything up?

Welcome to Channels DVR Visit this URL in your browser to complete the setup:

Any ideas?

Hmm. The once in a while part is baffling. It usually means that it detects bonjour but your data path isn’t setup. Verify that and check the log from the webpage for problems.

What version of the DVR server is running?

Version
2017.03.01.2225
Well, it seems to be up and running now. I didn’t change anything, just rebooted my nas while I was at work. I’ll reply back if it happens again.

Thanks.

The problem came right back. I keep getting disconnected from the DVR. Happens on my second Apple TV as well.

What does the Log tab say?

I’m not seeing any error or anything in there, I could upload it?

Yea send it to [email protected] please

OK, I’ll do that now. Thank you for the help, and very slick product so far.

I see the DVR was restarted around 11am, but the rest of the log looks perfectly normal.

You appear to have a four IP addresses assigned to your NAS… is that expected?

Regarding the 4 IP’s, and is that normal?
To be honest, I’m not sure, but I think so. I started this project with a lot of things that are new to me. I’m using a Synology NAS that has 4 network ports and they are all connected. I’m glad you saw that, because I think that’s my issue, but my lack of knowledge here is holding me back. I figured that since Channels provides a Synology install package, that the multiple nics would be worked out in the background or something.

I’m not sure that multiple IPs would cause your problem, I was just surprised to see it.

Try just disconnecting three of the cables. Then uncheck and recheck the Bonjour checkbox, and see if you run into the same problem again over the next few days.

I think I know what the issue is, but I won’t be able to verify until I get home. It has to do with the the Synology NAS is configured. I’ll reply back tonight.

I think this issue was my Synology nas. It was broadcasting on 4 different IP’s. Once I “Bonded” the connected and got to 1 IP only, things seemed to work themselves out.
