Kodi Add-on

has remote log in been added? thanks.

I really like this Kodi add-on since I primarily watch TV on my computer screen. Once I can time shift recording in progress it will meet most of my needs.

OK, so, right off the bat, this has never worked for me, and I've never used Kodi before, and I hate it, but without a windows client, this is my only hope of getting out of the web viewer, so I hope some Kodi people can help me.

I am running on Win10 64-bit. I installed 18.3 when this first came out and tonight i just downloaded the latest update (18.4). I have installed the Channels add-in from this forum, 2019.10.02.0042

I installed Kodi to C:\Kodi, because its a computer that lots of people logon to, and I found that i can run "kodi -p" to have all the addins common in portable mode, and the path is short.

I figured out how to install the add-in, and even to set the DVR server IP address, but I don't see anything when I goto TV. What am I missing?

Any chance you could use the channel names in kodi, rather than the EPG source names?

I'm in the UK and, for example, you use BBC2HD as the EPG source for BBC2 (SD version) - this is fine (as the EPG is the same), but means in Kodi the channel names are wrong.

This doesn;t seem to be an issue in the full channels app since you just use the logos (which are correct), but Kodi uses both.

Go 7 posts above your post and there is a list of the latest version (v2019.11.08.0005)...make sure you choose the Windows 64 bit version. Try that.

Also, do you have any other PVR addons installed and configured...if so, disable them to test this one. You don't have to uninstall.

I think there may be an issue with the guide in Kodi. I have 5 sources as follows:

2 HD Homeruns - OTA
YTTV
Locast
Philo

When I use the Kodi PVR app, all the guide entries EXCEPT for the HDHR show up in the Kodi guide. They show up in the Channels DVR guide with no issue. They show up if I use the WMC or HDHR plugin.

Has this not been added yet or am I not setting something?

Rob

Hmm, I don't have this issue...similar setup, with only one TVE provider (2 OTA HDHR and PSVue).

Have you made sure you are not filtering anything out (make sure you are on All Channels)?

Definitely on All Channels. Only channels that are blocked are the home shopping ones. I'll reboot everything again tonight, but I have done that several times. I have the HDHR's at the top of the source list.

Rob

OK, need a bit of help. I have rebooted everything, made sure that there were no other PVR add-ons enabled on Kodi, I can see the HDHR channels in the DVR guide and I see all the channels from the other sources in Kodi, but not the HDHR channels. They do not show up in the EPG or in the TV settings channel manager.

Any help would be appreciated.

Rob

Did you go into the Settings >PVR & Live TV > General and check all of the settings there? Use channel numbers and order settings.

Then check the Channel Manager to make sure that all of the channels are enabled.

Then check the Group Manager

Sure did. Been using Kodi since 10.0. It fails in the same manner on my windows and android clients, so there must be something with my CDVR implementation. The DVR sees them and records correctly and the recording do show up in my library, just cannot see the OTA channels in the Kodi EPG, I'll try some different skins next.

Rob

Send us the kodi log to [email protected]

On the dvr web UI does each HDHR have guide data assigned underneath it?

I will get you the log this evening. Yes, there is guide data assigned to each HDHR.

Rob

Has there been a solution to this grouping thing? I can't find anything to make recorded shows group. Just a single folder with a dot and then all shows in that single folder.

Latest release v2019.11.13.0108

It is fixed. Thanks everyone. It was a setting in Kodi that allows for the use of channel numbers from the backend.

@tmm1 Thank you for another release, awesome work! Not sure of your development timeline but if possible I would like to request that time shifting of in progress recordings be one of the next items on the list please.

I would like to time shift in progress recordings also.

What happens when you try to watch an in-progress recording?
