Kodi/OSMC partial commercial skip

I am testing out the addon for Kodi. Currently I'm testing this on the latest OSMC on a Vero 4k +.
It works very well except for auto skipping commercials. Compared to the official apps for Android TV and Android on my phone, the Kodi addon does not have as many commercial markers in the timeline. Typically it will show to markers up until about the half way point of a recording then no more markers and I will begin to see commercials. Testing the same recordings in the official apps I see all the markers all the way through the entire program and auto skipping works well. It's just in Kodi with the addon where the markers just kind of stop after the half way point.
Am I missing an option or something or is it a current limitation of Kodi or something that could be fixed in a future release of the addon.

tl:dr there are way less commercial markers in Kodi vs the official apps.

Interesting, so only 3 out of 5 commercials is shown.

The three that are shown.. are they placed correctly and skipping the same part of the video as the app?

That's exactly right. The auto skipping works as expected. It's just that the Kodi addon is missing the remaining markers. When I go to the same time as the app I get commercials and have to manually skip ahead.

Hi again,
After a weekend of testing I'm seeing that the auto skipping is off a little bit - there is either a few seconds of commercial before or after the auto skip. The official apps don't have this problem. For an extra experiment I shared my recordings directory over NFS to Kodi and used the export edl file option on Channels Server to be able to skip commercials. This also shows the same behavior in Kodi as the built in Channels addon. I'm wondering if it's a Kodi thing then.
