Kudos, Developers!

When WOOT! offered a souped-up Intel-based Mac Mini for $500 I snapped one up to be a backup server for Plex and Channels. Today I decided to do a proof of concept in case my main Mac went belly-up.

Following the directions to move Channels DVR to another server couldn’t be easier. Everything was exactly the way it was on my main Mac. I didn’t have to configure anything!

I was also impressed that on the new backup Mini I had to put Channels directory on a fast external USB3.1 SSD because the server had a mere 128Gb. Everything recorded and played back flawlessly.

So, kudos to the developers for an outstanding product that can be easily moved with little effort!

Yup. I agree.
Constant and continuous improvement seems to be the motto of the developers.
And their support/responsiveness is second to none.

Coming from a house full of TiVos where support is less than none, I am happy to pay $80/year for a full-featured DVR with great and responsive support.
