Latest Beta Version / Playback Failed / HLS

Hello,

I have been seeing Playback Failed on Hdhomerun prime channels. When going back and reselecting the channel it usually works. I did an update of the beta I am using to see if that solves the issue. What I did notice was that under debug, HLS option is no longer available. Did I somehow go backwards? My version is 3.26.2048. if that is the newest, what happened to HLS for the buffering at the NAS?

It moved here:

HLS option

We've moved the HLS setting out of Debug and to the Playback menu and made it controllable via the DVR to match iOS and tvOS. For more details, see Direct Play, Direct Stream, Transcoding - #16 by walkerx

I just noticed recently, too!

@eric, please also update the Knowledgebase as there is no description for this setting and what it does.

I am not seeing HLS in Playback. Can someone tell me where it is?

seeing HLS in Playback

It doesn't say HLS anymore. Per the screenshot above, in the "Original Quality Delivery" subcategory, you select "Stream". This is the same as what used to say "HLS".
