Latest pre-release not restarting channels properly on my Synology ds220+

Ii've been updating my pre-release for all these internal updates.
When i proceed with the update, the system will download and show restarting but will never change setting.
I go into DSM and I have to click on Channels DVR and click run.
Normally, the system will install the update and auto restart.
Pleasse advise.

Weird
I just updated my server running the Synology package on a DS1019+ and it restarted fine.
I usually have this server package stopped, so started the server package and updated to the latest pre-release.

That is odd. I also made the same update on my ds920+ running native (not docker) CDVR installation. No issues here...

Check the DVR log. Maybe it crashed.
Run diagnostics from the DVR web UI.

This is also happening to me on my DS 1522+

I can't get in. I start the application again, the webpage loads for a bit, then it crashes.

edit: restarted my NAS. Seems to be ok now. Was able to get in and updated to the latest prerelease.

edit edit: nope now more crashes

Can you access the dvr log file at
/volume1/@appstore/ChannelsDVR/channels-dvr/data/channels-dvr.log

Ok was able to get in. Log is filled with a tons and tons of messages like

2025/07/18 21:19:55.245121 [DVR] Fixing group 27306879 2024 Wimbledon Championships: 17 -> 0 files
2025/07/18 21:19:55.245131 recorder FindFile: 8275: database not open
2025/07/18 21:19:55.245136 recorder FindFile: 8276: database not open

and so on and so on, probably for every single program I have in there. Going into my library though, all of the files seem to be accessible.

I submitted logs to channels.

An additional update was released but going to wait until the end of the evening to see if it happens again.

For what it's worth, my DVR was busy recording stuff all day. So, when it finally got an "idle" chance to update, it jumped right past three versions, v2025.07.18.0312, v2025.07.18.1744, and v2025.07.18.1835. Perhaps one of these intermediate builds was glitchy?

I just updated the pre-release this morning and all is good.
System restarted like normal.

Excellent! I'm glad to hear it. :slightly_smiling_face: I think that I recall having this issue once before.

Kinda makes me re-think running the Olivetin "Keep CDVR Server updated" task continuously. I'd hate to have it try to update automatically, and then crap out.
