Launching the TV app with DVR

Typically when I launch the channels app on my Apple TV it takes three attempts before I can see the full DVR features.

The first time I launch it I normally see the standard On Now, Guide and Settings tabs at the top of the screen. When exiting to the home screen, and then re-enterin the channels app I then see the full set of tabs at the top of the screen - On Now, Guide, Recordings, DVR, Search, Settings - however when I select a show from the guide tab this doesn’t click through to the Record, Record with Options, Manage your Pass dialog box. Also the guide data seems to come from the local Apple TV Channels app guide settings, rather than the full 14 day guide on the DVR.

Only when exiting to the home screen, and then re-enterin the channels app for a third time do I seem to get the full DVR functionality including the Record, Record with Options, Manage your Pass dialog box.

To make things worse, on one of my apple tvs, on the second time entering the app, after a few seconds of doing nothing it appears to crash and return to the Apple TV home screen (I have the beta channels app also installed on this Apple TV and this does work but only after launching three times).

I would appreciate any thoughts and remedies for this

This sounds like a network problem. If everything is on the same subnet and switch, I’d try just rebooting everything.
