Law & order organized Crime did not record yesterday

What would cause this ....

2021/04/15 09:18:04.964697 [DVR] Deleting job with expired serial: 1619323170-67 Law & Order: Organized Crime (SH035420690000-1619323200)
2021/04/15 09:18:04.976702 [DVR] Waiting 10h41m25.0232974s until next job 1618541970-17 Obsessed With the Babysitter (2021)

This is you issue, not a Channels issue. The same program recorded without issue here, so the problem is not with the software or metadata, but rather something with your personal setup.

NO way please I have a regular setup with the Regular GUIDE data so please do not tell me it is my setup ... stop making excuses when they keep pushing out betas everyday. I am tired of people around here always blaming the users. With no way of knowing what is changing.

I suppose you are going to blame me for the latest crashes too.

BTW are you a developer ?

Weren't you the Same guy who said I was wrong about tuner sharing and I was %100 correct ?

Kind of weird since 1619323170 is Epoch Time Sunday, April 25, 2021 3:59:30 AM GMT
You must have a 30 second pre-pad for your pass.

But SH035420690000-1619323200 means it was scheduled to record SH035420690000 ( Law & Order: Organized Crime) at 1619323200 (Sunday, April 25, 2021 at 4:00:00 AM GMT) but when your Channels DVR Server updated its EPG guide info, it was no longer seen at that time.

Far as I know it airs new episodes on Thursday nights on NBC?

P.S. SH035420690000-1619323200 is a normal thing to see in the logs as it hasn't yet identified a Season and Episode number for the airing. This happens a lot the further out you go in the EPG and eventually it corrects itself as you get closer to the actual airing. Used to be much worse in the past when the guide went too far out (now 16 days, forget what it used to be).

With this kind of concern, I would highly suggest you just stick to the official releases.

I have some empathy with this cause as I've experienced it myself.
We would like to think we're helping the cause, but without knowing what the latest pre-release or Beta is supposed to fix, how are we to test it?
I gave up chasing the DVR pre-releases long ago because of this.
I have the URL saved to check the pre-release version, but have no idea why it was released.
I know you devs have said you're too busy fixing things to write docs on what changed.
How about tagging your 'Upgrade to the latest pre-release' or Beta version posts with at least a version# and a tag so we can chase it down (search for it) so we know what we're supposed to test before it becomes a release version that crashes our system? (Not like that ever actually happened) We're a Community that supports this software and I think we deserve that respect.

How am I supposed to do that when You always say to update to latest pre-release when TVE Breaks.

Yeah it is scheduled for tonight ... as I have newly released shows to record all episodes even deleted for unexplained missed recordings... and my question was Simply what could have caused this ... the response it must be you is really stupid. You are the only one that gave a reasonable explanation. Tuner shortage is not an issue either as I have 8 OTA devices for a total of 22 tuners.

You're correct, and I apologize. I was both rude, and incorrect.

I did not fully parse your log statement, and had I done so as someone else did, I would have seen that the log message was basically just maintenance/information, and nothing to be concerned about.

I also apologize so lets put it in the past until the next thing crops up... then when can agree to disagree ...

Here's your scheduled job that was deleted.
It probably didn't have the Season and Episode listed in the guide data for this rerun of Episode 4 on Saturday night, 4/24. Once it picked up the Season and Episode in the guide data it would schedule it for you if you're not recording NEW only.

When I’ve seen this happen in my logs it was when the episode was removed from the guide. This happened a lot during covid when shows were being cancelled. Since it recorded for others I wonder if it’s possible your local affiliate aired something else in that slot, or their guide data was messed up.

Hard to tell as I do not believe that Channels DVR keeps previous days guide data. I have seen some DVRS that keep the pervious 2 days guide data (SageTV).

That scheduled airing that was deleted is future.
Next Saturday's rerun of this coming Thursday's Episode 4.

Usually happens when it first appears in the guide with no Season or Episode and then a new guide update has a Season and Episode. It deletes the old listing having no Season or Episode and reschedules the new listing showing the Season and Episode. I can tell this was the case with yours, since the job it deleted was tms Show ID (SH035420690000) - Epoch Time (1619323200). If it knew the Season and Episode it would have been tms Program ID (EP035420690004) - Epoch Time (1619323200).
