Library Listings: Don't Break Down Seasons?

When I'm recording older shows in reruns, sometimes the shows air one sequence on the weekdays and another sequence on weekends. So I might get season 3 episodes during the week and season 5 episodes on weekends.

On the newer beta, when I go into the Library and pick a show to watch, it breaks down the show by episodes, so the latest season is first and earliest season is last. Is it possible to have the episodes for all shows listed in the recording date order?

There is an option in Settings to change the ordering

Under Library, I can pick Airing Order and I have "Newest First," but that's only two options - newest or oldest first. Under DVR, I don't find any settings like that and I don't see it in Video Player either.

Yes, the option let’s you sort the episodes as newest first or oldest first while broken up by season.

Oh you’re asking for them to be ordered by when they were recorded?

That’s probably not something we’ll add. In the release version it doesn’t do this either. It just sorts by newest first.

While I don't personally care for this type of listing, I have to agree that an option to sort the recordings by recorded date would be welcomed.

(It's weird how once you've had a feature, it's removal or lack can have an impact. DirecTV's DVR used to only sort by recorded day, but some time in the past couple of months they changed their listing to sort by air date/episode number.

So, while I may not use it much, I would like to second the request for sorting by recorded date, in addition to air date and alphabetically. Also, a list view in addition to to existing thumbnail views.)
