Limit fps for remote playback

Hello - is there a way to manually set the fps for a channel? I am seeing more than normal buffering due to my pi not being able to to keep up with the transcoding. I have dialed back the resolution to 2Mbps but the DVR is trying to up the fps to 60.

DVR version - 2022.08.26.1453
Hardware Transcoder, Linear Deinterlancer, 1hr Live TV Buffer
Web Player adaptive streaming - On

You can't change the frames per second, that's how it comes in from the source.

It is so frustrating to keep dialing back to resolution to improve the stream but the source keeps increasing the fps. I adjusted the resolution to 700Kbps & now the fps is up to 66... I am sure this is a feature & not a bug of the stream...

The source is 60fps. If your encoder is under 60fps, it will cause buffering. If it is over 60fps, then it can convert frames faster than they arrive and it won't buffer.

Who makes the best encoding hardware that can support 60fps?

A computer or NAS with modern Intel processing will support QuickSync transcoding.

The Pi is just very limited when it comes to video encoding. It's best for in-home use.
