Linux Mint and NTFS file system

I have been reading some things about using Linux Mint and having any data drives attached (external or internal) that are using the NTFS file system. I see that it will work but it isn't the recommended one of course unless you're attaching external drives that you move between a Linux and Windows computer. Mine are internal drives that already exist on my Windows 11 computer.

I am considering putting Linux Mint on my server computer but I don't want to have to re-format my 5 existing internal drives to ext4 then moving all my TV Series and Movie files (they are all backed up on a NAS) back to those internal drives as that will take a long time for the amount of files that I have.

Do any of you have experience with this type of setup or advice on doing it this way? Should I just bite the bullet and re-format those drives anyway?

I just don't have enough experience to know if leaving those drives as NTFS will give me a bad experience or not.

NTFS should be fine
