Live tv pauses a lot on its own

Here there I a using channels DVR with my Synology nas and my quad homerun tuner. I Usually use Apple TV 4K as my streaming device. The Apple TV is wireless. Lately I’ve been getting a lot of freezing, like I pause the live TV (I am not pausing it). The bar fills up like it should but I can not get the video to starting playing again. When I exit the channel it tells me that I am behind the timeline. Not sure why this is doing this. My setup has not changed. I have the some issues on my Android tv and it does not matter what channel it is (mainly tve channels). I looked at the log and it’s just shows my exiting the channel and then restarting the same channel. Anyone else having issues?

Live OTA or TVE? If OTA, is Tuner Sharing on? Video quality set to original?

Seems to be tve. I don’t have an i issue streaming from other services just when I am using channels. It might just work itself out, but wanted to see if anyone else was having an issue..

When it happens you want to send logs from both your Client and your DVR. I have been fighting similar issues. Channels TVE Live is very very finicky unfortunately. Last night I performed a full reset on my Shield running the Server software and its been solid since. Before that I replaced the Router and I bought a managed switch and went through tons of setting changes that made slight improvements but nothing fully fixed it. The Reset has been the most promising fix so far.
The DVR runs off you Synology so maybe try rebooting the server and all the devices just to refresh the network. I scheduled my NAS to reboot once week now also. It can be the smallest thing.

Thanks for the info on restarting the nas. I did it now just have to see if it helps.

Good luck!

I had an issue in the past where mine would exhibit similar behavior. It turned out I was maxing out my pc by watching a program, recording a program (or two), and had comskip processing shows and movies.

I fixed it by moving the channels server to a better pc. Zero issues since. Not sure if this would help you but pay attention to what all you have running when this happens.
