On my Fire TV client, live TV stops after watching for about 5 minutes, but only after just starting the Channels DVR app. This occurs when watching local HDHR channels and TVE channels. To resolve, I have to hit the back button to bring up the guide, select a different channel to watch and then switch back to the original channel. Then it's fine until I quit and restart the Channels DVR app.
I'm having the same problems with my firesticks. Generally I have to reboot the firestick to fix it, though sometimes changing channels will do it too. Today I had to reboot my HDHR, server and firestick to mostly resolve it.
Did you submit some logs?
I just replicated the issue and submitted log file. BTW, it took 10 minutes for the program to stop.
How much free disk space is on your FireTV

OK, I added a USB drive as internal storage and moved a couple of apps to it. So far it seems to have resolved the issue.
However, moving Channels DVR and Channels DVR Beta to the USB drive makes the apps unusable. They just close when you launch them. I restarted my Fire TV and cleared cache on both apps to no avail and had to move them back to onboard storage. I now have 1.4 GB free.
