I have color buttons on my remote configured to go to live TV and to go to the guide.
If I start with live TV and hit the guide button, the guide appears but it is not synced to the channel I was watching. It instead goes to the beginning of the guide.
On the other hand, if I start with the guide, select a channel, do some surfing while watching live, then go back to the guide, it is synced to the last channel I was watching.
Is this a bug or a feature?
Same behavior for me on Nvidia Shield.
I'm not sure it's either, but the feature to sync the guide to the last/current channel would be nice.
when you use the guide, watch, then back, you are going back to where you were. the shortcut button is just a generic launch of the guide.
one place this works as your expecting is the quick guide while watching (down arrow)
