I absolutely love how crisp my over the air channels look when played live… not one glitch.
I set up my system to record last night and had several glitches or dropped frames when I watched the recordings. To be honest it was rather hard to watch. How to I start troubleshooting?
I’m using HDHomeRunExtend with WDCloud EX 2.
Hmm, is the WDMyCloud plugged into the same router/switch as the HDHR?
The channel you recorded is the same one you have no problems watching live?
Check the Log tab on the web UI of the DVR and see if there were any errors around the time the recording was taking place.

I see… looks like you’re attempting to playback the recordings via the DVR web UI, but your NAS is not powerful enough for transcoding.
Did you try watching on your Apple TV? It should work fine there.
No I saw the errors on my Apple TV. I recorded the glitches on my phone… is there a way to send you a video?
Yes you can email to [email protected]
You could also try viewing those recording files on your computer using VLC to see if they’re stuttering there too. That would indicate the recording itself was corrupted due to bad antenna signal.
