"Loading" animation on Multiview

Continuing the conversation from the beta in relation to the "loading" dots during playback...

My issue is somewhat IPTV related, I'm using a "backend" DVR instance to alter the "frontend" channel numbering, with MPEG-TS streams between the two DVRs. Is there inherently different in how multiview handles these streams that the client is unable to determine if that they are playing back smoothly?

No it’s because there’s a bug. But the bug is being triggered by jittery not-as-reliable streams.

This is very common in iptv, and your mechanism is likely causing it in your streams.

We’re aware of this and will look into it soon.

OK, the latest TestFlight beta has an attempted fix for this, please try it and let me know.

If it doesn't work, please IMMEDIATELY stop the playback, and submit diagnostics via the app (NOT SERVER), and report here what channels you were playing back.

The sooner you can submit diagnostics the easier it will be to find the issue in your logs to help resolve this issue.

Submitted diagnostics twice through the app (user: DLeslie)

The first diagnostic submitted I opened only ABC in multiview. ABC is an OTA channel through an HDHR that is then streamed from a backend DVR to a frontend instance.

The second diagnostic submitted, I first opened MeTV (via Frndly TV integration also streaming from the backend to frontend DVR) which played fine without the animation. Then opened ABC, with the same loading animation.

If I connect the client directly to the backend DVR I'm not experiencing issues. Both backend and frontend DVR instances are on the same server, if there is a better way to stream between the two or re-number channels please let me know. I understand this use case is beyond the scope of official support, thanks for looking into it and I understand if it doesn't get resolved.

OK, please try this build and let us know!

Anyone?

Still happening to me on the latest TestFlight. Shows on all but one feed. Just exited now and submitted diagnostics.

I am streaming away from home and over Wi-Fi. All sources are from an HDHomeRun. But all streams play just fine under the animation.

OK, let's try this one:
