Local clients only connect when firewall is stopped

Brand new to Channels. Been searching for answers for a couple hours before I decided to post.

I installed the DVR on a fedora 36 server with an lxde DE. I followed all the instructions and the server seems fine ( I can access it and add sources, get guides, etc). I have port 5353 UDP and TCP punched through the Fedora firewall.

On my local Apple TV 4K I get the error "Your Channels DVR Server could not be discovered."

So I punched 8089 tcp/udp through the Fedora firewall. Tried toggling the Bonjour box in the server settings on the DVR server. Still have the above error.

The only way I can get the Apple TV to attach is to stop the firewall on the DVR server.

So what instruction did I miss when punching ports through the firewall or does the DVR use some ports that are not listed in the installation instructions for Linux?

Thanks!

Do you have port 8089 open as well?

Thank you. Your comment made me go back and look and apparently I fat fingered the 8089 setting. I had 8098 punched through. I removed that and put 8089 udp/tcp through the firewall and now all is well.

Thanks, @mike_here
