Hi, I run channels on a Synology NAS. I have created a Videos Folder as follows:
/volume2/Videos/Home Movies/Home Movie1. Home Movie 1 is a MP4 video file.
On the Channels DVR admin page under Local Content, I have configured Video Sources to be /volume2/Videos .
I cannot see Home Movie #1 anywhere in the video Library. When I go to Library/Videos I see nothing, even after doing Maintenance/Scan Sources.
Are there any tricks to get this to work?

You probably have to give permissions to that share to the channels user
I thought it might be permissions. How I do determine the NAS login that the Channels DVR is using ?
Go into DSM Control Panel, select Shared Folders, then select the share with the videos, then select the Edit button. Select the permissions tab then select System internal user from the pulldown and make sure that Channels has Read/Write enabled.
