Local Media scanner issue for TV shows

I'm digging deeper into using local media and Kids mode in Channels. I have a bunch of local media I'm using in Plex. The Plex scanner has no problem with the naming, but the Channels scanner doesn't seem to like it.

The Show Name\The Show Name SxxExx The Episode Name.mkv

Various Episodes\The Show Name SxxExx The Episode Name.mkv
Various Episodes\A.Different.Show.Name.SxxExx.The.Episode.Name.mkv
Various Episodes\Yet Another Show Name SxxExx The Episode Name.mkv

Should this work? If not, could the scanner be updated to support this kind of naming, where everything needed is within the filename itself and the folder doesn't matter?

The nice thing about the naming is it allows doing some nice folder-based organization and then browsing via folders (in Plex). Also in other cases I have several shows where there's only a couple episodes for each season, but there's a TON of seasons so I would have to go in and manually create lots of folders and move things around.

That will work if it can be matched using Channels DVR scanner (Gracenote data).
The episodes need to be in the Show Name folder.

Show Name1/Show Name1 SxxExx Episode Title.mkv
Show Name2/Show Name2 SxxExx Episode Title.mkv

If you can find the show at zap2it.com (which uses Gracenote data), it should work.
For episodes, it matches against the SxxExx, not the Episode Title.
You can manually match episodes by episode title by removing Show Name SxxExx in the find match search box.

They are working on getting TMDB as a scanner option for Show imports.

For imported Movies you can match using either Gracenote or TMDB.

Played with this some more and the first example does appear to work.

I would really like to see the second example added to the scanner:

Don't think they'll implement that as currently it relies on the Show Name folder the individual episodes are in for scanning/matching the series.
