Locast New York kindly added back WNYE - NYC Media Life now that the reception is good.
Hoping this can also be added to Channels DVR soon. WNYE TV has some interesting content!

Do you have the Live TV link? I couldn't find it on the site you provided.
This is a request to add an existing Locast stream, not a TVE/free live stream. This was previously available -- so the devs need to add back the pointer to the locastnet.org URI.
Fixed in latest pre-release. To update, click-and-hold on the Check For Updates button.

I wonder why they haven't added the two subchannels for WNYE?
25.2: NYC GOV
25.3: [CUNY TV]
Or are those just not implemented on Channels? I never actually use the Locast app now thanks to Channels!
