Since my Channels DVR web interface is accessible from the internet and port 8089 is being forwarded through my router, shouldn’t this web interface have some kind of login so that any random joe isn’t able to find and manipulate my recordings?
A login page is presented when your server is accessed from outside your home network.
Is there a way we can change this for people who use a reverse proxy?
If you’re using a reverse proxy you need to setup your own authentication.
Synology doesn’t let you change the configs for nginx/apache so if I add in authentication for the reverse proxy it resets the files and clears my additions when I restart the service. Hate the Synology/Love the Synology…
