Recently, I have been starting a movie from a virtual channel on my iPad and it can take up to 7-8 seconds for the movie to start playing. On my fire sticks, I do not see this issue and the movie starts in a few seconds (small delay).
The issue that I see is that when I start the movie, the screen goes black leaving the guide. Then around 6 seconds I see the spinning iPad circle symbol showing that it is doing something finally and the movie starts in a couple of seconds. This also sometimes happens with a Pluto station when it shows a logo for up to 6 seconds and then I see the spinning circle and the tve station starts.
The channels dvr server hard drives are not spun down so there is no delay there. If I remember before when the hard drives were spun down, I would at least see the spinning circle showing me that something is happening.
I have submitted a diagnostics log from my iPad for the Virtual Channel issue. For the Pluto tv issue, it is hard to reproduce. The diagnostic log should be a03c7799-415c-49c6-b09b-a1b972bf0b51, at least that is what I saw in the server log file.
I am running iOS 18.6, iOS Channels 6.3.0
