I have a number of passes that were recording shows from UNIMAS on TVE (HD while cable only letterboxed SD) that last recorded on 4/30. I was afraid it was part of the NBC network's implementation of DRM, but when I checked I saw that I can still click on Watch Now and view what's currently showing. I just can't record from it anymore because there is no guide data.
How would I go about getting the guide data to re-populate for UNIMAS on TVE?
Well, this is interesting. I wasn't able to remap the channel, but when I rescanned for Xfinity TVE, the channel got its logo back and when I redownloaded the guide data it came in.
So what actually happened for the previous 5 days? Was it just that I had taken it for granted that it would always be there because it always was? Or am I just seeing it again temporarily until it ultimately goes down with the NBC DRM ship?
