I have been able to watch east and west coast feeds up until a couple of weeks ago some would have a connection lost error. Now I'm getting connection lost error on pretty much all of them and it says unavailable in your location but they still authorize with my DirecTV login. Why were they working fine and now they are not? Did something change?

If it's the Viacom/Paramount channels (6010-6025)
it's because of these updates
that were rolled out in the new stable release
I'm on the west coast and only get the Pacific feeds now.
If it wasn't the Viacom/Paramount channels, then you'll need to be more specific as to which channels you get the connection lost on and which channels show unavailable in your location.
Otherwise, everyone is just wasting time guessing.
