M3U files - Supported Metadata & EPG Tags

Hi,

I have recently updated my M3U list & came across the above guide on channel tags. Currently I am manually assigning EPG within the Channels DVR server to +100 channels & interested in the ability to auto map channels using the
"tvc-guide-stationid: Gracenote station id" guide data tags. I've tried a couple of times to get this working, but struggling.

Where can I find the Gracenote id's?

Im wanting to be able to create and maintain an M3U list, which will auto map EPG correctly & assign station logo's etc. This will save me quite a bit of time as currently im having to generate a huge M3U list, update it, load it into Channels DVR & then manually map each channel. Its do-able, but the ability to use Gracenote IDs to auto map will save me quite a lot of time.

Thanks.

Here's what I do.
Bookmark this link http://127.0.0.1:8089/tms/stations/STATIONNAME in your browser after changing 127.0.0.1:8089 to the IP address and port of your Channels DVR Server.
When you want to find a stationId, just change STATIONNAME in the url to what you want to search for, like this
http://127.0.0.1:8089/tms/stations/news 12

If you know the call sign of the station, search for that instead, like this
127.0.0.1:8089/tms/stations/N12NJHD

chDVRuser,

Just out of curiosity, what program are you using to read the json file? When I open in a browser, it's in the original CSV file layout.

Thanks,

Jay

It's JSON format.

I use Firefox.
It can also display pretty print formatted by selecting Raw Data then Pretty Print.

Search json view extension for your browser

Yup, found an extension for chrome. Much easier to read.
