M3Us with Special Characters

My EPG uses cyrillic in the tvguide ID, but Channels rejects M3Us unless they're ANSI. What are my options?

I tried adding the channels in the text input instead of linking to a m3u, but I get far too many errors when trying to watch the channels. Most frequently:

Connection Lost
Streaming to the tuner failed. Press play to try again.
M3U: Get "http:///username/password/12345": http: no Host in request URL

What else could I try?

The URL needs to point to the server domain and then you can add your user/password. Usually those are randomly generated.
IPTV uses aren't supported.

My URL includes the domain. For some reason Channels skips it, but not every time.

The error message was edited as to not include my actual username and password.

What do you mean by "IPTV uses aren't supported"? What else would the m3u point to, if not an IPTV stream?

Your run of the mill, random Internet IPTV service. 99% of them are illegal / pirate and known to have connectivity issues with Channels and even with other software's like Emby, JellyFin etc. . And such services, are not supported here.

Things that are supported are FAST services like Pluto, Plex, etc and there are threads on here that discuss the best support solution to add those to Channels DVR server. Or other self made .m3u things that one may spin up, like camera feeds, or HDMI encoders etc.

The connectivity issue isn't the provider. It's simply because Channels is ignoring the domain half the time I select the channel. I'm guessing the cryllic characters are throwing it off.

That's most likely the case.

Would you be willing to give the name of this IPTV service?

As @rpaulmerrell and @speedingcheetah have mentioned, unofficial IPTV service are not supported so if this IPTV service appears to be one of them, you won't get any more support here.

Is there an error message?

We support UTF8

Thank you. UTF8 is working.
