I searched but couldn’t find the answer. I just installed Channels DVR on my Mac Air. It works great, but when I shut down the laptop, close the lid, and go back later to open the lid I see the Mac has restarted itself and I’m at the login prompt! How can I keep this restart from happening?

We recommend that the dvr is installed on an always-on machine rather than a laptop.
You may have installed the wake helper during dvr setup which would cause your Mac to wake up and make recordings, or when clients try to connect to it.
Ah. Thanks again! I seem to remember doing just that. It was a pull-down menu item.
How do i uninstall the wake helper? For that matter, how do I uninstall Channels DVR itself if I ever wanted to? It's not in the Applications folder like Plex is.
Oops. Never mind. Google was my friend! I can just rerun the installer.
So, the simplest solution would be to buy a Mac Mini and just leave it on all the time? Rumor has it there might be a new mini coming out next month!
