Mac hangs on Installing DVR service

Spent the last 24 hours doing a clean install of my 2018 Mac mini. Trying to install the Channels DVR but the installer hangs or errors-out on "Installing DVR service"

I've tried rebooting multiple times. I've re-launched Channels the installer several times to uninstall and reinstall.

Computer is running macOS Catalina 10.15.3. 8GB RAM with 50+ GB of storage free on the built-in SSD and more in external storage. Here's a copy & paste of the installer text. Appreciate any assistance you can provide:

Please open Terminal.app and run this, then paste the output shown:

Before you replied, I ran the terminal command listed on your install page to run Channels as a service. Then it successfully started and seems to be working fine. I was able to import my database, made some new recordings, watched some old ones, etc.

Is it worth continuing to troubleshoot this? Any drawbacks to my current setup?

Should be fine, though you can't use hardware transcoding on some Macs when running as a service.
