Thank you so much. I use an external drive with my Mac to store my recordings, would I have to reformat that drive to use it with a PC? Under normal circumstances I would assume yes but figured I would ask first.
If it’s formatted for a mac yes. If it’s NTFS or exFat no.
Could I go from my Mac to google drive then reformat the drive and then put the files back onto the Drive so that it works for the PC?
Probably would take too long to upload to google drive

A second hard drive large enough to store your Channels DVR files while you reformat the original hard drive... even just temporarily.
If there is a "streaming" directory involved, you don't technically have to move that one as I understand it. It can take many hours to move that directory back and forth if there is a spindle drive involved.
