macOS Bluetooth request?

I just got a pop-up on the macOS Sonoma (14.3 system) M1 Mac mini where my Channels DVR server runs. It was channels-dvr asking for Bluetooth permission, which I granted. But now I'm wondering why. I'm inclined to turn it off or just remove it from this list.

I've never seen this pop-up from any other third-party Mac software before. Just curious, what does Channels DVR have to do with Bluetooth?

Network adapter?

Nothing's changed on this Mac except the most recent update from macOS 14.2.1 to 14.3. I haven't plugged in any new hardware, network adapter or otherwise.

Dunno. Only other thing I can think of is bluetooth sharing or bluetooth audio. Not sure why it wouldn't go through the OS for those. AirPods?

I've never connected AirPods to this Mac. And channels-dvr is the server software, not the client app where audio playback happens, anyway.

Just toggled it off. My hunch is that this is just a bug in the macOS 14.3 Sonoma update that came out last week.
