I'm using a Mac Mini M1 and I saw that Apple is dropping their new OS on 10/25. Will Channels be updated and ready or should I wait a few days before updating? Channels DVR and Docker are the only things running on it.
While there shouldn't be anything major that changes, it's always safe to hold off a bit on upgrades like this if you're worried about stability. macOS updates like this don't always go so well in general.
For the record we haven't tested it on the new OS update.
I decided to live on the wild side, and go for it.
Other than changing my Mac's hostname, nothing of note yet. Tried ATSC3 live and a previous recording.
UPDATE: Google Remote Desktop unhappy, at least to start. I'll research some more, but be forewarned if you're using your Mac headless, like me.
Thanks for the info. Decided to roll the dice as well. So far all is good.
Also on a headless M1 Mac mini, but using the MacOS screenshare with no issues.
I only run two things on the mini, Channels, and a bodged up version of iTunes-api for Music integration into HA. I figured Channels would be good, but concerned about iTunes-api. Fortunately everything is working great so far.
Ha, glad to hear that's still working
Wondered if you would notice! ... and thank you very much for that BTW.
Lots and lots of buffering tonight, unfortunately. Submitted diagnostics.
