Just curious, is there anyway to manually input channel numbers on the Apple TV using a third-party IR remote like one of the harmony remotes?
For example say I want to get to channel 100. I just push 100 and it would go to it, kind of like a regular tv box would do.
I figure it would technically be possible with some sort of “remote app” integration but I’m not sure about any manual number input through an IR remote.
There is no way to do this in tvOS 
Is there a way we can input numbers through the app on the iPhone to change the atv channels yet?
I would think that since iOS and tvOS are similar this function will not come. But you could always use the app on the phone to quickly scroll to the channel tap it and it will ask if you want it on the ATV. I have used it a few times on my iphone and ipad. Works pretty well if you already have the device in hand.
