Manually add missing channels?

There are several channels in my cable lineup that aren’t showing up in the full guide. Is there a way to manually add them?

Do the channels show up on http://my.hdhomerun.com under Channel Lineup?

One of them does, but it’s more complicated than that.

My Win7 PCs see (with HDHR Prime) and pick up all the channels we’re subscribed to, but are using WMC and HDHomeRun Config GUI (predates the current HDHomeRun Setup, but shows which “channels” share the same frequency (us-cable channel). However, the Win10 PCs (using ChannelsDVR and HDHomeRun) lack a local channel (I can get it OTA, but there are some dropouts) and from what I can tell so far one national channel - specifically CMTVHDP on 273.000 MHz. CMTVHDP shows up on my.hdhomerun.com, but not in the channel list for the CableCARD tuners in HDHomeRun Setup. Oddly, I can tune to it in the HDHomeRun Program/App installed on the Win10 computer I removed ChannelsDVR from.

Update. CMTVHDP is now showing up in HDHomeRun Setup on the Win10 PCs. That’s really strange to me because I must’ve run scans in HDHomeRun Setup at least 4 times and those channels were never picked up. There must’ve been some kind of secondary analysis that took a while to resolve.

I’m still not getting the CableCARD version of the local channel in question. It shows up in two distinct locations in the TiVo and WMC guides, but there’s no sign of it in HDHomeRun Setup or on my.hdhomerun.com other that when I use a tuner for it in WMC my.hdhomerun.com shows that tuner being tuned to 357.000 MHz.

The Channels app uses the lineup stored on the hdhomerun itself and shown via my.hdhomerun.com. You can rescan from that web page. If it doesn’t show up, that’s a HDHR firmware issue and you should email [email protected]

I’m not doubting you, yet it doesn’t make sense to me that the firmware (I only have one HDHR Prime after all) is communicating one thing to Win7 and another to Win10 unless it uses multiple pathways of communication that are operating system specific. I guess this is one for SiliconDust to address.

Thanks!

The old windows utilities don’t use the new firmware feature and instead do channel scanning themselves.

I was in error. Further digging revealed that WMC was prioritizing the ATSC tuners over the cable tuners for the station in question. I mistook the experience of getting a picture from WMC when tuning to the “cable channels” for the picture coming from the HDHR Prime. When I went into WMC “Edit Source” menue it became evident that the picture was coming from the HDHR Duals. It appears that none of the PCs are getting those channels from the HDHR Prime.
