Menu Glitch on Google TV

When opening the app, the menu glitches and flash open and closes on its own, or when scrolling left to open, it opens but the selection stays on the right (not the menu).

I've had the issue for over a year and have replicated it on multiple devices. I always assumed it was an obvious bug, but maybe it's just me?

Attached is a video showing the menu glitching in two different ways: at the beginning and at the end of the video.

It happens almost every time the app is opened.

I've also seen this issue for a long time (over a year) across all my Android-based TV devices. It happens fairly consistently when the Channels app is resumed after a while when it was previously opened but has been sleeping in the background. Something goes arwy with the menu focus logic when the app resumes after an extended background idle period.
