Is it normal that pressing menu while it is paused (and you scroll forward a bit) will start playing video at the point I began the pause? Shouldn’t it bring down the top menu? Kinda confusing. I know you don’t want to have an accidental channel switch but seems like it should default to the menu which keeps you on the channel still.
Pressing menu after you’ve adjusted the timeline with a pan motion using the touch surface will cancel that adjustment and take you back to where you started.
This is exactly how the system provided video player works as well.

The Menu button on the remote always acts like a Back button. We can suppress this behavior, but we can’t change it. The only way to access the in-player guide is by swiping down.
