Migrating from Linux to MacOS

I've installed Channels Server on my M1 Mac Mini (Sequoia 15.1.1) and I'm attempting to migrate my existing Channels server from a Raspberry Pi CM4 server.

RPI Server version: 2024.09.10.2115
Macos Server Version: 2024.09.10.2115

I've copied the Databases directory from the RPI but the macOS Server won't accept them (greyed out on the screen). Created a new backup same thing.

Am I missing something or are Linux/Mac backups incompatible?

Guessing file system permissions? I made the same exact jump ( a few years ago now ), but no problems.

No permissions or ownership issues..

Where is the grey out on the Restore screen? You should only need to select the "Database" directory to see a list of the entries, after hitting green Browse

Yes I can get a list of the backups in the Database directory..

But thats it.. Nothing to select...

Going to have a play..

OK I sussed it and have managed to restore the last backup from my previous server.. So hopefully I have all my passes and watched history again.

I fixed the issue by taking a copy of the Database directory with all my backups and then removing all but that one backup. Once I removed the older backups the Restore started to work.

What gave me the clue was I couldn't restore a backup I made with the new server. Seems the old backups were blocking the restore. No idea why..

Possibly like the Restore functionality is probably barfing on an incompatible backup file and not processing them all.
