Migrating Server from Win10 to TrueNAS

So I currently have been running Channels on a Dell Inspiron 3250 (6th gen Core i5) with 8gig of ram. It has been doing well and I have an external USB3 enclosure with 5TB of space .

I recently built a TrueNAS box out of a T320 Server I was given. 5TB of RAID space with a Xeon E5-2420 Processor and 48GB of ram. It will be hosting files a Minecraft Server and potentially my Home Assistant on it. I am thinking of moving the Channels server to it.

I figured if I am able to move Channels to be hosted on the NAS it might be better all around.

Are there any downsides or pitfalls to doing it? Anything I should be aware of?

I know there is a JAIL available for Channels, should it be created with its own IP, guessing yes as opposed to a NAT setting

If you find everything you need to do this please do a nice writeup. There are lots of threads with incomplete information. I gave up and simply made a windows VM that I run on my TrueNAS box and it work fine. You could easily do a physicals to virtual.
